DRESSED IN FREEDOM AN ODE TO ECLECTIC STYLE

In a world of trends and fashion rules
I’ve always been one to break the molds
From childhood dreams of dresses grand
To teenage rebellion, taking a stand
Against the sameness that filled the air
I sought to dress with flair and care

My mother thought expensive meant quality
But I found beauty in the cheap
Travelling the world for clothes unique
Rejecting the notion that pricey is chic
Mixing and matching, creating my style
Always aiming to stand out and beguile

In high heels one day, baggy jeans the next
No fear of judgment, no need to flex
My wardrobe a reflection of my soul
A celebration of who I am as a whole

In New York and London, I find my place
Where individuality is embraced with grace
But elsewhere, the stares and whispers ring

Yet I hold my head high, refusing to cling
To societal norms that seek to define
The way I should dress, the look that’s mine
For Halloween is when I truly feel free
To experiment and let my spirit run free

I love the 60s dresses, the 18th century flair
The hip hop style, the chic and rare
No price tag can dictate my worth
For my eclectic style is a testament to rebirth

I dream of a world where all can be free
To dress as they please, unapologetically
Regardless of gender, age or race
Let us all find our unique fashion space
Let us break the chains of restriction
And embrace our individual stages

My dress may not reveal my wealth
But it speaks volumes of my soul

So judge me not by what I wear
But by the dreams and passions I bear
For the way I dress is a canvas, you see
A reflection of the true and authentic me.
